Urban Decay Super-Saturated Lip Colour & 24/7 lip Pencil

I have only ever tried Urban Decays Shadows and primers so you can bet your bottom dollar I was more than excited when I received this Super-Saturated High Gloss lip colour in the shade Naked and this 24/7 glide-on lip pencil in the shade Midnight Cowboy for my birthday.

(Left) Lip colour in Naked €19.50 and (Right) Lip liner in midnight cowboy €15.50. Prices according to the Debenhams online website as I did not purchase these myself.

Nude lip - with liner - with liner and lip colour.

I am really impressed with the texture of both these products. They are super creamy and glide on so easily, especially the liner. There is noting worse than a really dry liner but this 24/7 lip pencil goes on so effortlessly.  The Lip colour is glossy and shiny from the get go, instant pick me up for your lips. This shade for me is perfect if I was going for a dramatic eye look.

The liner wins out of the two for staying power but the lip colour is so easy to apply I don't mind an extra application here and there.

Have you tried out Urban Decays lip range? What do you think, yay or nay?

Love,
Sarah

A big thank you to maria for these wonderful birthday gifts. xxx

xbextacyx Inspired Nails

I did this nail look a while ago but never got a chance to blog about it.

It's inspired by one of my favourite youtubers Becky. I had the amazing opportunity to meet Becky in February this year for IMATS London. Becky was one of the main people who influenced, supported and encouraged me to keep making youtube videos. She had a make-up competition where you had to create looks inspired by the elements and I did water and earth. I had so much fun making those videos and made so many new friends from competing.

Anyway, she's AWESOME. Check her out.

The nail look is inspired by this make-up look Becky did.

Firstly I covered my nails in a white polish because I used yellow and I wanted it to pop.

On the left side of each nail I made a wavey line and then coloured in the left side with yellow.

On the other side I used a turquoise nail polish.

I then covered over the wavy line using a black nail art pen and made three flicks at the end to look like eye-lashes. With all nail looks I sealed with a clear coat.

And that's how I created my xbextacyx inspired nails.

If you have any requests leave them in the comments below. Also check out the Sprinkleofglitter inspired nails I did HERE

Money Making Tips

Do you ever feel that as soon as you get paid its gone instantly? I know my pay doesn't last long and working in childcare I don't exactly make an absolute fortune.

Upon arriving home from my holidays and realising that it is going to be over a week until I get paid I have put myself on lock down! No spending unless its a necessity. No make up, no beauty products full stop. It's also my birthday soon and I have no idea what I'm going to do bar invite all my family over and tell them to bring their own food and drink haha

So in an effort to make some money I have done two things. The first thing I did was round up all the beauty products, jewellery and clothes I no longer use or wear and have put them on eBay. I have some beauty products up at the moment.

For anyone who hasn't used eBay before it really is the greatest thing. Registering can be a pain because it also involves registering for a Paypal account which you have to then link up to your bank account. This can take up to two weeks. Once your started you can buy products from all over the world and sell your unwanted items. You have the option for an auction style sale which is exciting if your not expecting a certain amount and you can also set a price if its something worth a lot.

Some of the items I am parting with.

The other money making solution I have gone for is to root through all the draws in the house to find old phones. I found two phones. One was an old Nokia that I haven't used in over two years and the other is an old iPhone with a smashed screen. Together I can recycle them on Cash4Phones.ie and get €68.58 for them because the still work. If they had not been working the website will still take the phones off you for a lesser price. They also send you out the package for you to send your phones away and its free postage too.

The third option for me is to get back into my home made crafts. Iv'e made educational material, birthday decorations, nail varnish racks among other things. Family and friends loved them and it was a nice way to earn a bit of money for special occasions. I stopped doing it while ago because it was so time consuming but I really miss it now.

Some of the things I have made.

Decoupaged frame and Nail varnish rack.

Pirate themed birthday decorations.

Hallowe'en themed counting game.

Felt postal set for kids. Envelops, postcards, stamps and writing paper.

Those are my money makeing tips. If you have any other money making ideas please leave them for me in the comments below and I will do a money making tips part two next month. All ideas featured will be credited of course with links to your blog if you have one.

Sarah

Bargain Buy - Teeth Whitening.

I did a review last year on the iWhite O2 Professional teeth whitening kit.

You can watch it here if you haven't seen it.

It retails at €29.99 but I have a link HERE to a website that is currently selling it for just €20. Bargain or what!!.

I love this product, I have used it twice and was very happy with the results.

Check out the Before and After photos HERE

If you are a heavy coffee/tea drink, smoker or have just eaten too many sweets I would really recommend this product. It takes some getting use to (having to use the sexy mouth tray) but the results make it all worth while.

Hope you find this useful, feel free to link it to friends and family... I'm sure they won't find it insulting AT ALL!

Love,
Sarah

August Glossybox - International Superstars

I came home to this months GlossyBox. I totally forgot about it since I had been away so it was a lovely surprise.

I was thrilled with four out of the six items in the box which is wonderful. Usually I love one product and the rest get given away. You might be thinking why would I sign up for something I'm not one hundred percent happy with every time. Well, for me I am paying for the surprise element and I also get to try brands and products I never would have heard of otherwise.

From other boxes I have seen I noticed that some received press on nails instead another poxy perfume sample! I would have loved to receive these but I am over the moon with my Lipcote, Pro white nail polish and can't wait to try out the GlossyBox Lipstick.

If you would like to find out more about GlossyBox and sign up you can do so HERE

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Love,
Sarah
