Let there be sun -Avene Sun Protection

I don't want to alarm anyone but THE SUN IS SHINING! All Mondays should be like this. Today I have a  review from a  product I've been trying out for the last month.

Product name:

Eau Thermale Avene High Protection Compact Foundation SPF 50 in Beige. Retails at €25.41 for 10g.

Product claims:

Suitable for all skin types, even those allergic to chemical filters, fragrance and sensitive to sunlight, this compact is based on soothing action of Avene thermal spring water and mineral filters that provide very high protection against the damaging effects of UVB/UVA light.

My thoughts:

When I first swatched it I thought, holy moly that's too dark, I didn't think it would suit my skin tone. However after I blended it out it smoothed out and sat on my skin nicely. I found it very lightweight too which was nice because I wore it under BB cream and I don't like the feeling of having too much on my skin.  It did a good job of lightly hiding any imperfections on my skin, not covering them completely but giving me a natural look with a matte finish.

I think a product like this is vital all year round, even when the sun isn't shining. Iv'e been applying a thin layer under my foundation and BB creams and it hasn't affected the texture of my skin. It's made me feel a little bit more confident when wearing BB creams alone and I feel a lot less guilty for not taking better care of my skin sooner!

L'Oréal Paris Cashmere Milk Make-up Remover

 

Before experimentation began! 

Use:

Apply a small amount of milk to the face using either cotton wool or fingertips. Massage in long enough to allow your make-up to dissolve. Wipe off with cotton wool or rinse with water.

Ewwwwww!

After Results.

Products Name: 

Cashmere Milk Expert Make-up Remover by L'Oreal Paris.

Product claims:

 The product is two times more concentrated in make-up removing ingredients compared to other products in the L'Oreal Paris range. It also claims to be the most comfortable make-up removing experience ever developed by L'Oreal. L'Oreal recommend using this product if you find water too hard on your skin and you are looking for maximum effectiveness and comfort for both the face and eyes.

Process:

I find taking off my make-up a complete chore at the end of the night. With this product I liked that fact that I could be watching my favourite soap or youtube channels while taking my make-up off. It was very simple to use all over the face.

Pro's

East to use.

Its a very gentle remover.

Able to use on face AND eyes.

Affordable (This product has now been discontinued and can now be found on ebay for cheap.)

Con's

Strong scent/fragrance 

Didn't leave my face feeling clean enough.

Leaves skin feeling oily.

This product has now been discontinued. 

I would not recommend this product to anyone who dislikes strong scents in products they use on their faces or anyone who loves the routine of taking their make-up off. I didn't feel satisfied with the amount of make-up removed on my face, I didn't feel like I had removed it 100%. It is good for removing eye make-up but would recommend using another cleanser afterwards.
