Each hat made and sold on a innocent smoothie bottle equals twenty five cent going towards Age Actions work. The deadline to get your hats in is Friday the 30th of November and you can get all the information you need on the Innocent website.
A great way to help is to hold a Big Knit party which is exactly what I did. I created a Facebook event page and invited my family and friends around with the promise of nice food and knitting fun!. It really was a great day. We knitted from 1pm until the late hours of the night. Some even dressed up because it was the Halloween weekend.
With the help of my mam, friend's Christine, Mary, Alice, Emma, Paula, Katie, Sarah, Fiona and a group of women from Ballyjamesduff called The Stitch 'n' Bitch we made a total of 184 hats! I am so amazed at how well they turned out. We are all still knitting at home in our spare time so hopefully that number will rise. I plan to ship off all the hat in the middle of November.
Thank you to all the girls for getting involved. I am delighted with all the lovely hats we have made.
If you would like to get involved you can find details HERE. If you have never knitted before don't worry, three of the girls above had never knitted before and they got on brilliantly. Go on, go o,n go on, go on, give it a go!!
Also check out details for this years Christmas Blogger Meet Up where I will be raffling off a Brown Thomas gift voucher. All money raised will be going to Age Action.
Love,
Sarah
