The BEST day!

I had the best day yesterday!  My plan was to meet up with Leanne and Julie for a bit of Lunch, which was funny because we planned to meet up at 4:15pm! So a late lunch. I also had some errands to run in town, a few parcels to send to some lovely bloggers. I got ready that day after waking up late and decided to say "F YOU" to the rain. I wore a strapless top, Maxi skirt and my favourite, over worn navy lace blazer. Yes, the rain was pouring but I refuse to dig out my winter clothes. They have bin banished to the back of my wardrobe and wont be coming out again until September.

I decided to be a Diva and get a taxi into town, I knew I would have been later otherwise. I nearly died when my phone went ding ding. It was an email. 

Louise is one of my all time favourite YouTubers, she never fails to put a smile on my face. She has managed to stay honest and down to earth while being a HUGE success on YouTube and her Blog.

Late lunch was delicious. We went to Calzone Cafe on South William street. Myself and Leanne had never been there before. I had home made lemonade and a Mexican beef calzone. We really enjoyed our food and I will be going there again soon!

My day was suppose to end there but the girls invited me to tag along to a Benefit event in Arnotts, Why not aye! I am so glad I did! It was very exciting ( I don't get out much). We got to hear all about the new addition to the Benefit family, Sun beam. We also heard that bad news that Moon Beam will no longer be on sale and that Sun beam will be replacing it as the better, sexier version.

Speaking at event Mark, the field training manager for Benefit cosmetics suggested the different areas to use this product to enhance your naturally beauty. Not many people know that you can use this in more than one place, not just on your cheeky cheeks. Mark suggested using it on your nose, cupids bow, neck and shoulders and said it looks great when used with Benefits Coralista blush.

So after picking a fight with the rain, meeting two of the nicest bloggers, having one of my favourite YouTuber subscribe to my channel, being treated to champagne and mini delicious treats at the Benefit event my day got even better!! 

I got to meet the lovely Rosie, I didn't recognise her until I sat down and decided to accost her afterwards. Awkward moment before you say hello to someone and your not sure if that person even knows who you are! Gladly she did know me, or shes a very good actress!

I usually don't buy magazines. I stopped buying them when I was 20 and chose a pack of smokes over a glossy read. More magazine was my favourite back then, their P.O.T.W (Position of the week) column made me laugh every time! 

Now 25 and a non smoker I find I have more money at my disposal. Have you seen the price of cigarettes lately? Nasty habbit anyway.....In my experience you never give up loving them though. I think about having one almost daily! 

I seen this Free Lip & Cheek stain by The Body Shop in Marie Claire (€5.63) and thought why not. This product cost €12.00 in the shop so instant bargain.

Product Review: Overall I was not blown away but the Lip and Cheek stain. The product was watery which helps the product to spread but I feel it hinders the staining process. Using this as a cheek stain was also a let down for me, it made my skin look blotchy and irritated ...far from a natural looking colour. One plus to this product, it's cruelty free. 

Magazine Review: Will I be running to the magazine shelf next month to purchase Marie Claire? A short and simple answer, No! I have never seen so much photoshopping and airbrushing in all my life. This mag features adverts with women such as Madonna, Angelina Jolie (who also features on the cover), Nicole Kidman and Claudia Schiffer. I't just pisses me off. Three out of those four women are so beautiful and I want to see them with wrinkles an all. Madonna, not so much. The price is justifiable with tonnes of tips on how to dress this summer, interesting articles ranging about sex, eating disorders all the way to a Dear Dad article where five writers compose heart felt letters to their dads.

My star sign told me to avoid making major purchases this month otherwise it will be a costly mistake. I wish it had told me this two days ago before I spent all....yes all my money on clothes. I have enough for two packs of smokes in my bank account at the moment!! 

Don't worry I won't! 

Wall Art

I've been looking into adding a bit of fun to my Girl cave lately. On my mission to find old frames to paint and re-use on eBay I came across a shop called Irish Vinyl Art who sold wall stickers. The shop sells other things but these caught my eye. The had cute ones for every room in your house. You can also get your name printed along with stars, fairies, flowers and BUBBLES! 

I ordered mine on Sunday 27th April and received it in the post just two days later. The best thing of all is, it only cost me €12.26 with free P&P. It arrived in a small cylinder and It has been such a short time since I ordered it I had not expected it and didn't know what it was. Aundrea on twitter suggested it might be something naughty from Ann Summers!! Thankfully I opened it up to reveal my lovely order.

It was so simple to put up. I made sure the wall was clean. Made two markings on the wall with a leveller so i knew where to apply it and popped it up onto the wall. I then used a small towel and rubbed the transfer to make sure the letter adhered to the wall. Then I slowly peeled back the paper. 

I did the exact same thing with the bubbles after I placed them randomly on the wall.

I love the overall effect. I'm so proud of my blog and channel but sometimes I play it down if I'm shy or embarrassed but now every time I look up I will remember that I have achieved a lot over the last year and that I should be proud of myself.
